What's that then?
There are a lot of people trying to tell you about it and sell you stuff about it; books, TV shows, t-shirts - you got them all? But when you get down to the bare bones and examine the evidence, a lot of people are also disappointed that the reality does not reflect their perception.
Paranormal is not just about ghosts, it's about things that don't appear to be 'normal' at first glance. UFO's and even good ole Nessie fit the description. The Oxford online dictionary describes the term paranormal as:-
Yep, that's it! Not a lot when you consider how passionate people can get about the subject.adjective: supposedly beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.
As ghosts and spirits sit quite comfortably in the category of Paranormal, you find it's used to death. My interest in ghosts and all things scarey started a very long time ago when I believed Dr Who was real as were the creatures on the show. Time has taught me that they were all plucked from imagination and my perception of these shows went from real life drama to entertainment. As eventually did Santa and the toothfairy! But what about ghosts? Well they retained their fascination as they could neither be proved or disproved. That meant there was a chance ghosts could be real! Wow!
What is Hauntedland?
I wanted Hauntedland to capture a more realistic view of the paranormal scene rather than sit on the fence over whether everything I see is paranormal or a natural phenomenon. Some people who claim to be sceptics can be really frustrating, but then so can believers. I like to be analytic and consider the evidence before casting judgement.A tap during a seance may well be communication with the dead but it could also be a pipe knocking the wall as it cools. I want to experience genuine activity not pipes cooling!
So Hauntedland gathers together all of my experiences and research to provide you with open and honest information that I hope you will find interesting. I've certainly had a few interesting experiences I can tell you.

Over the last few years I've visited some really good, reputedly haunted locations and to be honest, some not so good.During this time I've written reports and taken photographic and video evidence. All of this can be found on Hauntedland.
